Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-06-13

NovelForge is an AI-assisted writing workspace for serialized fiction. This policy explains how NovelForge handles information when you use the web app, iOS app, and related services.

Information we collect

  • - Account information used to authenticate you, such as OAuth provider identifiers and session cookies.
  • - Novel workspace content you create or upload, including project metadata, chapter drafts, comments, story bible data, canon graph data, taste settings, prompts, assistant sessions, and generated or uploaded image records.
  • - Usage and diagnostic information, including product events, active AI runs, AI usage estimates, request metadata, browser path, and approximate viewport size. NovelForge filters sensitive fields such as manuscript text, prompts, email, tokens, passwords, and secrets from product analytics metadata where possible.
  • - Files or images you upload for novel projects, which may be stored in configured object storage.

How we use information

  • - To provide the NovelForge writing workspace, including chapter editing, autosave, version history, search, story bible features, canon graph features, image tools, and export.
  • - To authenticate users, maintain sessions, secure private workspaces, and operate OAuth login.
  • - To run AI writing, review, reflection, title-generation, context-pack, and image-generation features requested by users.
  • - To measure product usage, diagnose reliability issues, estimate AI usage and cost, and improve the service.

AI providers and third-party services

  • - When you request AI features, relevant text, context, prompts, and instructions may be sent to configured AI providers or local AI tools so they can generate the requested output.
  • - When image generation is enabled, image prompts may be sent to the configured image-generation provider.
  • - NovelForge may use OAuth providers such as Google or Kakao for sign-in, analytics tooling such as Google Analytics when configured, database hosting, object storage, deployment infrastructure, and error or operations tooling needed to run the service.

Current provider disclosure

  • - Depending on configuration, AI text features may use Anthropic Claude through the Claude Code CLI, Fireworks-hosted models, or DeepSeek. Image generation may use OpenAI Images.
  • - Sign-in may use Google, Kakao, or Apple OAuth. Email verification may use Resend.
  • - Paid subscription checkout, invoice access, and cancellation flows may use Stripe when billing is configured.
  • - Production infrastructure may use Railway for application hosting, Neon for Postgres, Cloudflare for DNS/edge protection, and configured S3-compatible object storage for uploaded or generated image files.
  • - Operator notifications may use the configured hooker alert endpoint and, when routed that way, Telegram. Google Analytics is only used when a public measurement id is configured.
  • - This list is a factual provider disclosure for the current code/config surface. It is not a legal subprocessor schedule; paid launch still requires legal review and live vendor verification.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • - NovelForge uses cookies or similar local storage to keep users signed in, remember interface preferences such as theme and font settings, and support analytics when configured.

Retention and deletion

  • - Novel workspace data is retained while the workspace or account is active, unless deletion is requested or required by law.
  • - Backups, logs, and operational records may remain for a limited period after deletion requests for security, recovery, and compliance purposes.
  • - Signed-in non-legacy accounts can export account data or delete the account from account settings. For correction or other data requests, contact the NovelForge operator using the support channel listed for the app.

Data protection

  • - NovelForge uses access controls, session cookies, server-side authorization checks, and private database or object-storage configuration to protect user data.
  • - No internet service can guarantee perfect security. Users should avoid uploading content they are not authorized to store or process.

Children

  • - NovelForge is a professional writing tool and is not directed to children. Users who are not old enough to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction should not use the service without appropriate guardian consent.

Changes

  • - This policy may be updated as NovelForge changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating this page.
